It's been a while!

 Dartmouth
Hitchcock Medical Center

So in September I had the opportunity to go to DHMC for the day to attend a pediatric trauma conference.  It was very informative.  After it ended I hopped on the interstate and met Molly for dinner in New London.  We had an awesome meal at Millstone's restaurant.  Great appetizers of mussels and crab cakes, Molly had lobster stuffed ravioli.  I had braised beef shanks.  Great dessert too!

another great weekend!

Well I had this past week off, used some of the time to catch up on things...actually washed some windows!  Monday we hiked up Snake Mountain.  The foliage is starting to turn.  We need some cold nights though.  Molly has had 3 lessons this week at the farm.  If you didn't know She Made the Equestrian Team!!!!  She likes the coach a lot and has ridden 3 different horses this week.  The riding team has to work out at 6am on Tuesdays at the gym and then does pilates for an hour at 6am on Thursdays.  Her lessons are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (I think)  Their first show is October 8 at UVM and October 9th at Middlebury College.  The college puts them up in a hotel for the weekend...should be fun and exciting!

Molly came home this weekend.  We had a great visit, caught up on the new tv shows and sleep.  She rode Kacee yesterday and lunged her today.  We made the roomies a batch of lasagna and salad and brownies to have tonight for dinner.

Helicopter transfer of my patient

The other day I had a trauma patient....course I can't say anything or give any details about it in case someone looks at my post, but anyway I videotaped the helicopter leaving with him.  Very cool, he can be at the next level trauma center in about 15 minutes.  Here's the videotape.

Here's a video of Molly and John horsing around!  The orchard is really nice.

Apple picking 2010

Molly arrived home yesterday for a visit this weekend.  We decided to go applepicking at Shoreham Orchards as we do every year.  It was a beautiful fall day, sunny and crisp.  The trees are loaded with apples.  We came home with Macs, Gala, and Honey Crisps.  They are all delicious.  Hopefully will make some apple crisp today or tomorrow.  We stopped at the farm store and got a little pie for tonight and some homemade cider donuts and fudge.  Molly will be taking back a variety of apples for her roomies.  We also drove up to see the renovations on the Crown Point Bridge.  (That's the bridge between NY and Vt that was blown up this spring as it was unsafe.  Now the states have 2 ferries shuttling commuters back and forth for free.  Still lots of work to go, I'm not sure when the estimated date of completion is.  Kacee came home today from Sue's.  She got new shoes on Wednesday.  They should hold us until deer season then I'll just pull them and ride barefoot.  Here's some pictures of our day.
