Today we had a nice barbeque with the family.  Carol and Mike and Leanne joined us along with Martha and Tom.  Lot's of good food and visiting.  It was fun!  The morning started out rather gloomy but then it cleared up and warmed up. 

Austin had his surgery on Friday...all went well.  He no longer has an ugly tumor on his ear and his teeth are pearly white!  No more bad breath!  He had mildly elevated liver functions..so has to take two pills before he eats daily for a month and then have his blood retested. (And then what?)  Today he is back to his old self, eating better and not so stiff and sore looking.  He's on Cipro 750 bid for 7 days and I think it bothers his stomach a little. I'll post some before and after pictures.  Leanne got a cute new kitten called Vendetta.  He came for a visit today along with Carol's little dog Nina.

I was able to have a nice ride on Kacee yesterday, down to Grants and back...she was very good! Poor Molly's got another cold.  She is so ready for school to be over with.

John found a huge black snake in the garage the other day...I'll post a few pictures...he's still alive.  (They eat mice....it doesn't matter that it was 5 feet long and probable lives near my flower beds!
