October 2012

Well, I'm really behind on my posting...been pretty busy, lots of overtime, often short staffed.  I'm happy to say we have overtime available to us as I have been saving for a trip.  Tomorrow my friend Pam and I head to Fajardo Puerto Rico, the El Conquistador Resort for the IAFN nursing conference!  We are sooooo excited!!  We leave Burlington at 6 am and fly to Kennedy, then to San Juan.  We arrive around noon, pick up a shuttle to the resort.  We are there for a week!  Will post lots of pictures when we get back!

All her belongings!  packed and ready to go...

Parking in front of Lawson..glad we got there early and soooo glad there was an elevator.  She's on the third floor.  We brought a dolly which made transporting all her goods sooo much easier.

I'm also posting some of Molly heading back to school.  Her dorm room and a visit I had one friday afternoon.  Molly unfortunately tore her ACL and Meniscus 2 weeks ago so won't be able to ride on the team this year.  She was dancing and happened to jump up and when she came down her knee went one way and she went the other.  It was really swollen and sore, she met with the trainer at the college who got her to see an orthopedist right away.  He ordered an MRI that showed the injury.  She's in a hinged brace now, doing PT and bike for rehab, meets with our orthopedist tomorrow to discuss surgery.  Hopefully she can do it right after her last final exam and then recuperate over Christmas vacation.  :((((  Total bummer, she worked so hard riding with Diane this summer so she would be ready for the team.  Oh well!
