Spring 2012

I haven't had a chance to update my blog in a while. Kacee got hurt and had a nasty leg wound so has been on stall rest for the last 10 days with daily dressing changes and twice a day antibiotics. Most horses you could give a shot to, but not kacee.... We ended up dissolving 10 bactrim in cranberry juice and syringing it into her mouth. Alot ended up om me although she did get better about taking the meds recently. I put her out this morning and they seemed fine. I put oodles of hay to keep everyone busy. I went down a few hours later to check on them and they started running around and kacee must have slipped and landed on her knees. ( both were covered with mud). The cut was open and bleeding again..:(. I brought her in and washed it out...it doesn't look too bad...hopefully won't get infected! I think it will be ok, some bleeding is a good thing.....what are you going to do!

Had a great week with Molly off from school! She worked 3 days at the hospital and we were able to go to Burlington for 1 day trip to costco's.

John is at carol and mikes helping them boil sap. Tucker is well...he is about 46 lbs. now.
