We've had a busy summer, Molly worked at DHMC and at Rutland. She's back in school now and very busy with her senior year. Can't believe it's her last! She will be doing senior rotation in the operating room 2nd semester at dhmc. They have 28 OR's! She's very excited.
We built Ansel a new barn this fall, also successfully moved the old run in shed so John can store some of his stuff in it. He loves the barn and so do I! Its got a beautiful stall, tack room and hay storage. John is almost done with the wiring so it will have plenty of light and hook ups and I'll be able to use my water tank heater this winter without blowing the breaker in the house!! It's such a pleasure working with him on my days off. Also to have all my tack and supplies right at the barn, no more lugging the saddle and everything to the house and up the stairs.
Tucker is great, we walk regularly 3-5 miles (around Grant's or down to Krupp's and back) He also enjoys going to the camp and running in the meadow in West Haven.
I finished my Clinical Ladder renewal for the hospital and present it November 19th. It was a lot of work, but definitely worth it ($2/hour more) Now I'm good for 3 years. I also just completed my Neonatal Resuscitation Program and was certified. This stemmed from an event this summer where a woman pulled up to the front of the hospital and had almost delivered a 28 week pregnancy in the car...very scary and amazingly the child lived. (2 lbs and was helicoptered to a NICU after stabilized the best that we could)
Next is ACLS renewal in December, then I think I'm done for a while! I'm also waiting to hear from my SANE-A certification renewal. I had to submit all my CEU's and hopefully won't have to take that test again!
Here's some pictures from events this summer.
