Where did this month go? We've had a very mild winter, can't complain at all. I am a little tired of ice though. John and I went out to the town garage after the last ice storm to shovel on a little sand...luckily we ran into Darryl who said "do you want me to load it for you?" John quietly said...."well if you want to, sure". It's a good thing as I don't think I could have gotten down the driveway without hitting a tree. There was a slick layer of ice and a thin layer of rain on top.
Molly came home Friday for the weekend and just headed back to Colby Sawyer. She's enjoying her second semester...actually is practicing some basic nursing skills in the lab and will start in a nursing home next week. I believe in February they go to the oncology floor at DHMC. She has her first nursing exam tomorrow and I believe she'll do well.
Tucker is growing like a weed. We did end up having him neutered a few weeks ago. He is quite the hoarder...likes to grab shoes, boots, tv remotes whatever and tunnel under the bed. Prior to his neuter he got a little grumpy when I took the remote away...so needless to say there are a few less male hormones on board now. (And the den under the bed has been filled with items to prevent him from going under it)
Molly is only riding 1 day a week this semester as her schedule is pretty intense, Nursing, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathway and clinical time. It will be a nice break during the week and let her get out to the farm to see her favorite horse there, "Zucchini".
Work has been horribly busy, the hospital is full most days and we end up holding patients in the ED and moving people into the hallway to accommodate new ambulances. Lots of overtime available and lots of sick calls.... people are tired!
Martha's house is for sale, (great location in town). The sign went up yesterday.
John and Carol spent the night at the camp last night and had a great visit. John cooked venison on the grill. Molly and I had home-made beef soup. Leftovers for tonight and she was able to take some back to school.
We bought half of an organic pig from a friend at work. They delivered the meat yesterday...smoked bacon, ham, spare ribs, roasts and 3 flavors of sausage. The bacon is delicious!

This afternoon I'm headed to Fair Haven to a retirement party for Patty Stannard at the legion. I believe she worked in the ED for more than 30 years!
Enjoyed the update. No wonder January passed so quickly. You guys sure stay busy.
