well it's been another rainy dreary weekend. Mosquitos are viscious. The sun is actually peaking out a little today. It was very humid, not comfortable for sleeping.
Molly tried out and made the equestrian team again at Colby Sawyer. She had her first lesson friday on a horse named Zucchini! They actually have a horse there bigger than Ansel, its an 18.1 hand gelding, not sure what type.
Molly was chosen to be an associate member of Alph Chi Honor Society. It's for Colby Sawyer sophmores with a 3.75 average or better. We are sooo proud of her!! She's home this weekend. We had her favorite Tilapia dish (layered tomatoes, white wine, butter and parmasan cheese) Friday, then Saturday we had roast Turkey, macaroni and cheese, acorn squash and apple crisp. It was fun cooking during the day while she was studying. She's been making flash cards for A+P (heart, endocrine and blood chapters)
Her lessons at school are on Tues, Thursday and Fridays. First show is October 8th at UVM, October 9th at Middlebury College. I have both days off yeah!
John is looking forward to deer season. He plans on purchasing a new muzzleloader this year (my christmas present to him early)
Route 4 is open again. Molly can make the trip in about 2 hours as compared to 3 when she had to go down 103.
Tucker is growing like a weed. He's very smart, very good, still chewing a lot. He's actually starting to lose those baby teeth now. He's discovered chipmunks and they seem to know when he's outside and tease him with squeaks and chirps all the time. He saw his first partridge the other day and actually pointed.
We also saw a fisher cat while walking near the horse pasture the other day. It was huge with a long black tail and an arched back. Very strange looking much bigger than tucker and he is 22 lbs now.
